Voici un EXEMPLE D’ESSAI corrigé (300 mots hors correction) par un élève qui a validé le niveau B1 pré-intermédiaire. Cet élève va passer le test d'anglais CAE (niveau C1) en juillet 2017.

I disagree with the following statement: there is nothing that young people can teach older people.  FIRST because, young people can have GONE THROUGH something an oldER person didn't HAVE NOTalso SECONDLY because young people know some things better than oldER people, and THIRDLY because young people, sometimes, can be very mature, and can have a good viewPOINT of the situation.

(An old person: une personne âgée ≠  An older person: une personne plus âgée que soi)

Firstly, because young people can have lived GONE THROUGH something an oldER person didn’t HAVEN’T. For example, LET’S TALK ABOUT a young person WHO used to be a director MANAGER, if an oldER person didn’t IS NOT useD to THIS POSITION, the young person can help the older person, for example, the young person can tell the oldER person what are the best things to say to motivate your THEIR colleagueS, what are the best things to do and a lot of other things.

DIRECTOR ou MANAGER

Secondly, young people know some things better than oldER people. For example, a majority of young people know better technological things DIGITAL DEVICES like smart phones or computers, than oldER people. For example, I usually help my parents to use their phones, mostly to record a video on Youtube or to edit videos (for example the wishes card I sent you) :-)

Thirdly, young people can be very mature and can have a good view of the situation. For example, if someone is harried, and he OR SHE says that he OR SHE is harried to his OR HER father and also to his OR HER brother who is 20. He OR SHE will not have the same point of view (= VIEWPOINTS) , but the two versions BOTH ADVICE can be very helpful for him. Of course only if his OR HER brother is mature, because he OR SHE will help him OR HER and will not laugh at him OR HER.

To conclude, I totally disagree with this statement. But of course oldER people can also teach things to young people. I think that oldER people teach more things to young people than young people teach to oldER people.
